I don't know if he wrote it, but Waylon Jennings sang it.
I'd be willing to bet that Willie Nelson wrote it. He wrote a bunch of songs for people. He wrote "Hello Walls" and "Crazy".

Walen Jennings, wrote that Song... I think that is the correct spelling. Walen Jennings is a big country star who had hits from the 70's 80,s' and 90's.. That was a big hit from the 80's... I know this because i had to hear this stuff in the car as a kid with my Elvis and George jones what a be parents...
