It seems that most national news broadcasters at ABC,CBS NBC, print journalists & major newspapers, especially the NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, present the news to the public with a definite left of center bias opinion, and at the same time, deny that any of their journalists are anything but unbiased, middle of the road, objective observers reporting the facts.....

There is no question that there is. There are many sources on the Internet that print stories that you will not see on the channels you mention. Watch FOX news and you might get close to what you seem to be looking for. one big problem with the news is MONEY. They are profit making organizations. The owners are always pressing for higher profits. It has diminished the quality of news reporting in general. But to answer your question...YES all the news networks you mentioned are on the left side of zero! I might add the Washington Post sometimes gives us the straight poop, but not always.

Try watching Fox News Channel. They're sure "fair and balanced."
And if you believe that, I've got such a bridge to sell you!
When you're on the extreme fringe, left OR right, the center always looks like it's biased towards the other side.
And extremists on either side use that fact to create and inflame paranoia in their more gullible followers, so they don't realize they are being manipulated and controlled. Just look at some of the paranoid, accusatory, and defensive answers to this very question.
So again I say, Try watching Fox News Channel...

Definitely . Why else did they sit on the Monica Lewinsky scandal 2 weeks until Matt Drudge broke the scandal ? Soon as he did that ol' Hilary Clinton got on her kick of trying to stifle information on the Internet because " we have too much free speech ".
Since our nation was attacked on our own soil the media is on an all out campaign to fight the war on the war on terror to help the left .After months of coverage on abu Grabbe's blood thirsty prisoners being humiliated ( to the exclusion of full coverage on beheadings in Iraq ) Peter Jennings announced DURING the televised funeral of Ronald Reagan that "we need to get back to the business of abu Grabbe". I lost my last 1/8 ounce of all possible respect for broadcast news after that . I suggest anyone who might be a news junkie trying to quit , should have no trouble since the biased , liberal , drive-by media makes it easy to quit , once you realize that you don't always get the truth .
If they manage to secure a quote-you can bet it will be taken out of context or "edited " till it" fits" .When they get caught making up "facts" they resign for a day or two ; then end up with a bigger & better program- but not until they learn how not to get caught !

The only really left-wing bias I see is The Daily Show &
probably, Countdown with Keith Olbermann.
Fox is way too far right.
The other stations just seem to give the facts, proving that
sometimes, the truth is hard to swallow.

Do a news search. (Yahoo, google, whatever.) Limit your search to just one week. Try to find the phrases "ultra conservative, arch conservative, very conservative." Then try to find "ultra liberal, arch liberal, very liberal." The main stream media does not use superlatives to describe the left. This is because in their thinly veilled worldview, (that is, the claim they are neutral) there is no such thing as "too far left." It is obsvious they are biased to the left. This is ONE of many ways to prove it.
There is also no such thing as "secular left" as the opposite of "religious right" in their vocabulary. This is because "secular left" is what they would call "normal people."

There is a left wing bias on CNN, that much I can tell you.
It seems to vary based on the network, newspaper, site, etc.
