There is a restaurant named Brulee in Atlantic city that sells a brownie for $1000. It has italian hazelnuts in it and is dusted with gold. An expensive port wine is in a $750 atomizer and between each bite of brownie, the wine is misted into your mouth. You do keep the atomizer. Even so, I can think of alot of ways that I could spend $1000

Most expensive item is easily a rare vintage bottle of wine. Even caviar doesn't get as high as some of those.

Most expensive restaurant...who knows, it depends on what you order.

Was a special meal for charity in Bangkok that cost $25,000 a person.

I heard a few weeks ago on the news that the Four Seasons in New York City had a baked potato on the menu for $200 because it had a white truffle growing in it. In my opinion, $200 for a baked potato with a fungus is pretty steep!
