Who knows. But you said Americans can't pronounce a double r. I hate when people categorize all Americans into the White population. Latinos are the number one growing population in the US and you honestly don't think a HUGE number of them, who ARE American can't pronounce the double r sound? You're mistaken. The U.S. is diverse and I've even met a lot of White, Asian and Black people who are American who can pronounce the double r sound.
