Do you have your receipt? Read the rules for returns and exchanges on the back. You might want to just lie and say the sound goes in and out if you want a better chance of them taking it back, though they might make you exchange it for a new one.

i am pretty sure you can. i did the same a bought an mp3 player at k-mart and took it back the next day and they just accepted and didn't ask me any questions even though the box was opened. I could choose between cash or gift card. so i took the cash and get a better one at best buy

You should check the reciept, on the bottom or the back should state the return-policy of the store. I found the return-policy for their online-site, but I'm un-aware if it's the same as in-store.

You may be able to. Bring them with your receipt and see what they say. If you can't get the money back...sell it on craigslist, ebay, yahoo auction, garage sale, to someone you know...there's many way to sell it. You can get your money back like that. It'll be easier if you didn't use it at all.

Good luck!
