There are 2 devices in the fuel tank, your fuel pump which evidently is doing fine because the motor runs and the fuel level sensor which isn't doing so well on yer Bravada. One doesn't affect the other...unless you run outta fuel. Check your fuel sensor and until you can get this done, you should have a manual that tells you how many gallons of fuel your Bravada tank holds and you should know roughly the mileage it gets, always go with the lowest to be safe. When you fill up, keep a log of mileage so you know when you should fill up. I would get this checked before it goes to showing full and your on "E".

Sounds like you need a new fuel sending unit. This is the float that sends the signal to your gage and lets you know how much gas you have. In newer vehicles the sending unit is part of the fuel pump assembly. Good luck!

You might want to sent the car to a workshop to have your either your guage checked or the float in the tanked checked for faults.

gas is a liquid and it moves around in the tank. this makes the float in the tank go up and down causing your gas gauge needle to move.

Change the float on the fuel pump (usually part of the fuel pump). GM is famous for faulty fuel pumps.
