Love more. Nothing more than that. I had an ambivalent view about the celebration of Valentines Day. I read an article by Gnani, a Tamil thinker, in the Weekly, 'Ananda Vikatan'. He has castigated Ram doss, the supremo of PMK, who has cast aspersions on the lovers, who observe the Valentines Day and show their love in public places. Gnani says that these leaders have no interest in the elimination caste system, which, according to them, is the root cause of the inequality in the society. When they clamour for reservation for the backward classes, they discountenance the tradition of love and love marriages. According to Gnani, love and love marriages are the potent weapons for the eradication of the social evil called caste discrimination. These politicians have really no interest in social reformation. They only want to play politics, in the name of caste. Caste discrimination is only a slogan for them to garner vote and it elimination is not their actual intention.
Hence, long live Love and love marriage. Love all and love more.
