I take my calming medication well before they arrive and just smile a lot and I listen to what they are saying but I really dont care.

Most of the time its in one ear & out the other, but only because most of the people in my family shouldn't criticize anyone, some of them need to take a look in the mirror & fix themselves. I generally take advice from my mom & aunt, they're the only ones who know what they are talking about.

It depends on which member of the family is doing the criticizing. If it's one with wisdom I generally listen & try to re-evaluate my stance or my behavior. If it's one with less common sense than a ground squirrel (& she knows who she is) it's in one ear & out the other.

Never listened to my family and it's too late now. They haven't spoken to me in years. Maybe if I had listened to them I wouldn't be sitting here in a rat infested apartment shooting them for fun when I'm not on Answers.

I listen to criticism from my family, but i don't take it seriously because they don't know anything.

Sure, sometime. It depends upon what their criticism is about and who is critiquing me.

I don't listen to criticism from anyone...anyway, that's unsolicted advice. If I didn't ask you, shut up!

Of course you must. Your family knows you best, so listen to them.

yes ... but it doesn't change anything. My son says I'm just like Diane Keaton in Because I said so. I try to listen but it's hard as I don't want him to be alone.
