Gossamer

Gossamer is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. The character is a hairy, red monster. His rectangular body is perched on two giant tennis shoes, and his face is composed of only two oval-shaped eyes and a wide mouth, with two hulking arms ending in dirty, clawed fingers. The monster's main trait, however, is bright red hair. In fact, a gag in the 1980 short Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24 1/2th Century lampoons this by revealing that Gossamer is, in fact, composed entirely of hair.

I just call him the Hairy Red Monster...I don't think he ever had an actual name...besides 'Monster'. He was only in 2 or maybe 3 cartoons at the most.

The orange monster has no name in Hair-Raising Hare. He is known as Rudolph in Water, Water Every Hare (1952), then as Gossamer in Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24½th Century (1980) (TV), which is the name he is usually given.

I just saw that one, 1st time since I was a kid and still remembered that Goofy looking monster. I don't think he's a regular. I think it
was that one episode. At the end it runs through a bunch of walls? Not sure & don't know a name, sorry.

In the first episode, he was simply called, "Monster." In the second, I believe he was named, "Grudar;" And in the third episode he was in, and every episode after that, he went by the name, "Gossamer."

Elmer Fudd, or Foghorn Leghorn, though I don't think Foghorn chased Bugs Bunny.

Tasmanian Devil; "Taz" for short, is described as: "A strong murderous beast, jaws as powerful as a steel trap, has ravenous appetite, eats tigers, lions, elephants, buffaloes, donkeys, giraffes, octopuses, rhinoceroses, and moose." However, this definition is only partially accurate. He also eats chickens, ducks, and especially rabbits.
