There is a HUGE difference in the responsibilities of an RN vs. a MA. MA do not have any degree only a certificate RN have a college degree taking 4 years to complete. MA are the ones that take your blood pressure, take your complaint and history when you enter and possible draw blood or give injections. RNS operate under the nursing process and can give meds implement orders diagnosis nursing related issues and operate under a license. If you are wondering which one to go for I highly recommend avoiding MA, they are under paid and stuck in only that field and MA training can not be put towards an RN degree, the credits dont transfer.
