I found an LG VX-8300 cell phone, is it good to me for anything other than parts?

Everything works fine, there was still battery life on it but no service and there is nothing at all in the memory, phonebooks etc.
Is there any way I can switch this phone into a pay as you go or should I just toss it?

Sell it on E-bay, call the company and make sure it wasn't reported lost or stolen first.

You can get around $100 for it on eBay! Or give it to me for free :)
