I wonder if all the people voting for Basic Instinct have actually seen Body Heat. The plot in Basic Instinct is ridiculous, while in Body Heat it is meticulous. The behavior of the Michael Douglas character is totally unbelievable for a seasoned homicide detective. The behavior of William Hurt is very understandable for a dumb lawyer who is getting set up. And Kathleen Turner can actually act. She radiates a smoldering sexuality. Sharon Stone demonstrates that she is capable of spreading her legs when not wearing panties. She is so icy in her supposed sex appeal, it's hard to see what Douglas is falling for.

Basic Instinct 2 would have been good if they hadnt deleted half the movie. I saw a trailer for it and it had a lot more to it.
but of the two you mentioned.. basic instinct.

As gorgeous as Sharon Stone is, along with her famous "no underwear scene", I think BODY HEAT was a better movie all around. You could feel the sexual tension as William Hurt threw the patio chair through the sliding glass door to get to
Kathleen Turner!

I think your friend has maybe got slightly confused with what has been said. Any baby or small child can suffer if they overheat, the same as anyone else. The problem sometimes with babies is if they are wrapped up in blankets too tightly, if they are getting too hot they cannot do anything about it, whereas an adult would remove the covers and let themselves cool down. I suppose the same could apply if the baby is lying between parents that are sleeping. I was always told that if you want to take the baby into bed with you, that I should lie on my back and place the baby on my chest - this is to make sure they are stable, stops you injuring them by leaning on them, and would also help them stay cool. Hope this helps, good luck, xxx
