I am 12 weeks pregnant and I experience on and off the same pain. I know that it is either heartburn, or believe it or not.....gas! I find that one of 2 things works, I either take Tums or Rolaids, or I breath out very forcefully untill I have absolutely no breath left to give out. I repeat it a few times, and ususally it goes away. I know, it sounds strange, but if you think about it, and if you have ever been dancing, the pain feels similar to that when you have danced too long and you get that pain under your ribcage? I do the same exhailing thing and it works as well. It is so strange the things that happend while you pregnant!!
If you feel however, that your pain may be more than gas or heartburn, call your OB right away. Hope I helped!

You sound like you are experiencing the same thing as I did.I had bad indigestion early on too and then it eased and then came back in my third tri-mester. i pretty much lived on QUICK-EZE. they are indigestion lollies. I preferred the chewy ones. I would have to keep them by my bed and I could not go anywhere without them but they were heaven sent I am telling you. Because I got indigestion so early everyone was saying I was going to have a boy with a full head of hair and guess what.... I did. A very healthy boy with beautiful blonde hair. As soon as i had him it cleared up and I was fine.

Sounds like heartburn, which is REALLY common at six weeks. The chest pain is caused by the irritation on the esophagus by th stomach acids and by excess gas. Take some Tums and rest a little, but it will probably stick around for a while.

Indigestion and heart burn is very common during any stage of pregnancy. Heartburn, when stomach acid backs up into the esophagus — an event known as acid reflux — you may experience heartburn. This burning pain in the upper abdomen and under the breastbone may be accompanied by nausea and an acid or sour taste in your mouth.
Antacids - Antacids, such as Maalox, Mylanta, Gelusil, Rolaids and Tums, neutralize stomach acid and can provide quick relief.

That's horrible! I know how that is. I'd suggest trying milk or yoghurt. Sit yourself upright and see if it doesn't go down. Mine got so bad I felt like I was having a heart attack. No problem, most heartburn meds are safe during pregnancy and provide relief like you can't imagine!!
If it interfers with your sleep or daily life call your obgyn/midwife and get a script.

I would drink more milk, not only does it help calm the irritating gasses in your stomach, it also will prevent most charlie horses.
