I had sex last night. Today, I am experiencing just a bit of blood on toilet paper after urination. It hurts a bit to urinate as well, like there's a lot of pressure "down there." I know I need to see a doctor, but what might be going on less than 24 hours after sexual intercourse??

This is definitely not menstrual-like blood, but blood occuring during or right after urination. It's not a lot -- more like light pink and only visible on the toilet paper.

Sounds like a bladder infection. It won't go away on it's own. A prescription from the doc will it heal. In the meantime, while waiting to get into the doctor's office, get some cranberry capsules and drink plenty of water. You can also drink plenty of cranberry juice if you prefer it over the cranberry capsules.
Hope you get well soon.

This could be just spotting from intercourse, especially if it was rough or if your partner is well endowed. If you are having a stinging pain while urinating and feel as though you need to urinate frequently it is probably a UTI (bladder infection). These are very commen, espcially if you are having sex frequently and don't urinate before and afterwards.

Spotting after sex is not uncommon. Especially with women. If you have had more rough sex, or if your partener is larger, some women will spot.
It also could be a bladder infection. Wait a few days, and see if it goes away. If it doesn't go and speak opening with your Dr. Believe me they have heard it all so don't be shy. Be prepared to due a urine sample while there.

community trauma from the sex might want to have aggravated the urethtra (starting from that you urinate). with any success it really is all it really is. See your well being care specialist because bleeding from the urethra can be a demonstration of an STD (uncommon) or a bladder venture.

women easily get urinary tract infections after sex because the urethra has only a small distance from the bladder, therefore bacteria get into your system.
