I am 21 and I get asked for my ID all the time. I do look young for my age but not 17 jeeez. I dont mind except when they say it rudely or when they only pick me out of a bunch of people.

No, it's part of the law to card but not just some people, every one. I find it comforting when tellers card even a man who looks like he's about to fall over and break his hip.
Look on the bright side of it, you can't get told you've never been through it when others (w)itch and moan about being carded over buying cigarettes and then feel bashed on when people tell them that smoking can kill them.

infobod, this site does not ask for you to be over 18 ... anyone can get an account ... I got mine just before I turned 18 but there are plenty of users that are 15 or 16, even younger than that at times.

I just turned 22 and I get angry when they don't ID me for alcohol, what's the point of being 21 if you don't get to prove it? It sucks because right after I turned 21 I NEVER got IDed(not even at my birthday dinner!), it took 3 months but I finally got IDed and I was so happy to show that I was 21.

No I don't get offended. I actually like being asked for my ID. I just hope they will still ask for it when I hit 30 or 40.

I never cared if I ended up required to show identification proof.

Today I see many self entitled assholes both young and old have a complete meltdown if asked for identification proof. Most times these assholes ***** "I come in here all the time" or "how do you not know who I am?" A lot of these self entitled pricks expect everybody they come into contact with to remember them.

where i work we have to ask for id if you look 30 or under...take it as a compliment though...im 20 and always get asked how old i am cuz i look so much younger (my mother and grandma look younger too), but when you are like 50 you'll probably still look younger, so thats a good thing

Yea I feel the same way! I hate getting ID'd. Especially when you go to the same place all the time, and some old hag wants to piss you off and ask for your ID! Grrrr!

No. That is their job. I hate when people ask to see my ID when I am paying with a credit card, but they don't ask to see the credit card. I can't figure it out.
