Singur issue is about success in fooling people. Tata Motors have raised their production from 1,22,000 to 3,15,000 in last five years. During this period their workforce has been reduced from 35,000 to 21,000. To think that Singur is a employment enhancement project, is therefore trivial, its a wrong step. Its the service economy that is contributing more to global as well as Indian economy, and its an irony that the most contributing service sectors put least claim on territorial requirements for its daily operation. So, Singur, is a wrong step at a wrong time. Tata Motors can easily accommodate the Peoples Car project with minor adjustments of existing utilities. Tata (Tea) owns over 57000 hectares of land in 53 estates in West Bengal, Assam , Tamilnadu and Kerala. In Kerala they are facing criminal investigations for illegally appropriating forest land. Buddha government is a technocratic govt, because they are studded with economists, planners and technologists. Such a dubious move by TATA cannot happen as a fault. So Singur becomes a wrong step at a wrong time by wrong people. The positive step is that there is an aware citizenry who knows that injustice is being carried out in the name of development. The best positive aspect is that the High Court has allowed citizens to air their views freely. Singur is a fight between mafia and citizens. Hence a wrong step at a wrong time by wrong people is getting exposed at the right time.

Singur issue is the positive- industrial growth in our state.our nation's industriliest group TATA.They wants to build up industry
at SINGUR. I do think if the TATA GROUP directly contacted to the
local people of SINGUR. Then, the implications would be positives.
But, whereas, the TATA group directly contacted to the C.M. of W.B.And thereafter, opposition leaders of leftist, they are doing darty agetations in Bengal. But, it is a matter of regret, We are all political parties, peoples turning into this subject as NEGATIVES.
There is a chances- for Bengal to improve the state.
UNLESS, BENGAL. WILL BE BEGGER.

The TATA company wants to build a car manufacturing company in Singur. The issue is that if land is taken, then lands of farmers are taken away. So that's why Mamata Banerjee is protesting it.

Mamata Banerji says that the Left Government is compelling poor farmers to sell their fertile agricultural land at throw away price to TATA depriving the farmers their livelihood.

Agricultural land holdings are very small. It is uneconomical for people to cultivate this small farm land. Besides reasonable compensation, there would be all round industrial development in the District. This would ensure employment to thousands and thousands people directly and indirectly. Further, major portion of the land is barren.
