It would be close. Obama is merly running so that it will look like Hilary is capable of overcoming a difficult obstacle.

It would help solidify that a woman can handle the office of the president.

Hillary will win and Obama will serve in her cabinet.

Today? Hillary. A year from now? Obama. He needs a bit more time to get his name out there, and if he can keep from getting bashed and picked apart too badly by the press, he'll win. Hillary is intelligent and a good speaker, but Obama appeals to a broader public, especially young voters. He's also been opposed to the war from the start and Iraq is definitely still going to be a hot issue in 2008.

Way too early to tell.

Rather than allow the states to all have primaries in the same first week, we voters should be agitating to go back to the old days when they were spread out and the winner of either party's nomination wasn't known until June, or even the conventions.

The parties are on record as saying that early wrap-ups are good for their nominees, leaves them "unbloodied" so they can enter the general election without scars. That is utter crud. Not only do the eventual nominees actually become BETTER candidates through debate and continual advocacy of their agendas, but also the nominees will only have to defend themselves against outrageous charges in a general election anyway.

By collapsing the primary season, we end up with the likes of Dukakis, Kerry, and W. Bush - all of whom were nominated thanks to very deliberate actions by both parties to minimize scrutiny of candidates by voters. (Remember, W. Bush was viewed as a lightweight just as much as the others, prior to the rally-'round-the-President effect of 9/11.)

Obama. Hilary Clinton doesn’t have the experience, in the military or intelligence sectors of our government to be effective in a time when we are fighting a war oversees and conducting a broader “war” on terrorism. Normally, this would not be an impediment...there have been many good Presidents, with no serious military credentials –– her husband being one of them. However, in order to rectify the quagmire that Bush has got us in, and also to redirect the “War on Terrorism” more effectively, and away from this Cowboy/Rambo strategy employed by Bush and his Henchmen, requires someone of either military or strategic competence. Hillary might be good at making chocolate chip cookies... but right now we need someone who demonstrates mastery of both military tactics and foreign diplomacy.

God I hope neither one wins! If Hillary gets the nod she may put Obama has VP. If she does she will more than likely get killed so the blacks can have a President. Either way Obama wins in the end, which would be the worst thing that could happen to the US. I am a republican, but I am tired of their BS too. Lets vote for Warrren Buffet.

The Dem nomination may well come down to these 2. My guess is Hillary. In the general election, Hillary has very little appeal to swing voters. Advantage GOP.

Wow that is a tough one, how would I answer that. Well Obama is a wonderful and qualified candidate but I feel that Hillary may be better talking to world leaders.

My republican mother saw Obama yesterday and she said he was VERY real and to the point..she is actually going to change her party affiliation. He must of made a huge impact on the audience...I hope he wins.

Obama, Hillary is percieved as "politics as usual". She has put herself in some bad positions supporting things that she really doesn't have passion for strictly for publicity purposes.

Well of course it wouldn't come to that, since they are both vying for the nomination of the same party.

However, if it did come to that, I suspect Hillary would win, but Obama would get my vote.
