As one of the answerers above asked, how do you know "so many Americans hate Bush"? And really, how do you define "hate"? A lot of people just wish someone more competent, more willing to listen to experts, including his own military and intelligence advisers, were in charge of a war that has cost tens of thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars and accomplish WHAT?
Are we any freer today than we were before the war? No, because there were no weapons of mass destruction. Saddam and his family are dead. His regime is gone. But Iraq, as it turns out, posed nowhere near the threat that Iran and North Korea do. And now what are we supposed to do? We're out of money and out of troops, unless we start a draft. Ready to sign up?

Because he took a entire country to war just to prove to his father that he could win a war that his father lost (desert storm) ten years earlier when his father proved there was no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
There was no other reason to go to war.
The terrorists that did 9/11 came from Pakistan not Iraq.

Because he's an idiot? No one understands why we are over there getting our troops killed... not even him! Why isn't Iraq a very large parking lot? Is it true our troops were sent to war with weapons made by Mattel that were used in the Vietnam War? Boy was that a bucket of worms.

I have too many reasons to list here...but let's start with he's a coward who made sure he used daddy's purse strings to get him out of going to Vietnam when it was his time to fight for his country....but, he feels justified in sending other people's kids to the front line for a war he started on LIES !!!!

Some is envy, some is just plain hate. envy because how can such a stupid person have so much power, hey I'm stupid too, give me some of that! The hate comes from him being so stupid and just doing whatever he wants, I want to do whatever I want too! This dude tried to killed my father too, so ima go to his house, kill him and then live in his house like it was mine and take all his money.

Because he want full control of every thing, not only the white house, but all the houses and he fells that is president he do not have to listen to any of the Rep of the other houses.

a) He did something very unpopular by starting a war (although Congress had to approve it).
b) He looks kind of stupid, and sounds kind of stupid, and acts stupid sometimes.
c) He's a Republican and many americans hate Republicans
d) Because people want to find someone to blame for all thier problems so they find an object of thier hatred.
e) The liberal media perpetuates this hatred for Bush.
