Every year we attend the Anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, but i do not think about it or dwell on it for they are in heaven to me, and that is a better place than here and that is my opinion. However there are crimes everyday going on like child rapes, murders, and the soldiers in the wars? Accidents in cars and people die every day everywhere, we must move on and think of the future to make it better! This is not Sept 11 and it is February I refuse to dwell on the past it does no good for today or the future. But Good luck but you should be optimistic, and listen to some comedy, you are still alive and life is too short dear.

I've thought about it a few times since it happened. I probably wouldn't think of it at all except that I grew up in Alexandria, which is about 10 miles south of Washington D.C. My boyfriend at the time was at Kroger in Lynchburg while I was at home (Lynchburg). He woke me up and told me to turn the tv on. They were replaying footage of the first tower when they interrupted it and was showing live footage of the second one getting hit. I feel the loss of my fellow Americans, not just for them but for my fellow human beings! As tragic as NYC was, it did not affect me nearly as much as the plane in the Pentagon or the plane that crashed in PA. I have a few relatives in PA and many very close friends and some family in the DC metro area. I was crying when I saw the footage of the Pentagon. For those not familiar with DC, one of the major transportation systems is the Metro. It's alot like NYC's subway except in my opinion it's cleaner, faster, and cheaper in DC. Many of my friends use it to get around. Some of the Metro stops are underground. One of my oldest best friends was on the metro that day. He was at the Pentagon station. My father was actually working construction where the plane crashed. He barely made it out alive. The one thing that he they both told me that I keep with me is that this was not the first time that we were this devistated as a nation and it certainly will not be the last. While I do not think that this particular day should be forgotten, I do not think that it should become the worst day ever known. I believe that the people lost should not be forgotten, but I think that to best honor them we as a nation need to carry on and move forward with our lives. The people who made these tragedies happen want us to be paralized in fear and emotion so that they can point and laugh at us. They want to see our nation fall. "United we stand, divided we fall." I feel that if we over came spliting in half and fighting each other... brother on brother, father on son, uncle, cousins... that this should not be what destroys us.

of path it has replaced, why would not it? human beings and the government in maximum situations had to alter into paranoid approximately something and definitely everyone! they had to for the risk-free practices of there human beings. They stopped just about all immigrants from coming in, no count what usa you have been coming from. i'm from eire and we weren't allowed to circulate over to u.s. after 9/11, even however we are a notoriously impartial usa that has a relationship with u.s. going back years. Border administration, passport places of work, airport risk-free practices, each and every little thing replace into upped. No inch of the entrances or exits to the rustic have been left unguarded via heavily armed guards. Paranoia swept the rustic, and why would not it? in case you theory some loopy *** extremist replace into out to kill you and your loved ones, would not you be paranoid?

If there was any good to come out of that horrible day, it was that , for a brief amount of time, we weren't liberals or conservatives. There were no red or blue states. We were all Americans, and we had been wounded. We looked to each other.
It so sad that it has degenerated into cheap partisan bickering and finger pointing. Both sides are equally guilty, and neither side will admit they are.

I continue to think about it and all the lives that were lost on a regular basic.
Had a friend that was across the street at the stock exchange that made it out of there.

You are absolutely right. Look at the stink everyone is causing about personal convenience at the airports. It is not easy to be safe and Freedom is not Free.
