i have never even heard about neither one (and i do live in playa since more than 10 years).the best way to find out about nice vacation-rentals is by open a thread at this page:

very informative page with reviews and forum written by locals...just about playa.hundreds of helpful users there which either live here,own/rent condos or at least come back here on a frequent base.
