Escape From NY was amazing.

It was too stylized. Escape from NY was dark and to-the-point: you knew it was a thriller and the movie delivered. LA was trying too hard to be funny in a thriller. It took away from the tone NY set.
If you add Transvestite villains, basketball contests, and Steve Buscemi to any movie, it's bound to stink.

it isn't under ted turners control i guess cause it has been on to fill slots that are empty from nothing else coming through for free any more to watch that isn't junk or over booked
