for my psychology class, i have to come up with a way to experiment with stimulus and response.
i need to use a human.
i need a natural stimulus, a uncontrolled stimulus, a uncontrolled response my result is supposed to give me a controller response.

i really have no idea where to start. i dunno what to do, ive read about pavlovs dogs and want to do something like that but more original.

please help. (all i need is ideas, im going to test them out & write an evaluation afterwards)

Well, let's see.......I have a 5 month old son who will get VERY excited when he hears the microwave beep...he thinks it's his bottle being warmed up (although that's not always the case!).

Over time he came to associate the beep with being fed immediately afterwards...pretty smart eh?!

Good luck with your project!

I have been doing this with my children,I burn different scents of potpourri, when there hyper and crazy,I just quietly start the burner with lavender and by the time they jump hop and dance through a loud song, they just tend to sigh and sit down,I do it with a family member that visits and and drives me nuts with her loud voice and fast talk and soon she's yawning and ready to go home, one day I tried pineapple /sage and I was creeped out all day,had the feeling something was very wrong or I forgot something important all day.Just an idea ,but I have found it very useful.
