On a 1-10 scale I would give this years show a 7
As for music, I enjoy most kinds of music. Two that I don't care for though are rap and country. Otherwise, I will listen to most anything else. Some of the performances were quite amazing, particularly Christina Aguleira (sp?). Her version of "It's a mans world" was out of this world! I always enjoy how the Grammys tries to give you a wide variety of performances. Even the ones I don't care for!

I give it a 9, it was the first time I made it through the whole program. I have no favorite type of music.

I think my favorite moment was both odd threesomes; Smokey Robinson, Lionel Richie, and Chris Brown, and Corrine Bailey Rae, John Legend, and John Mayer. I especially liked Chris and his crew stomping the stage, that kid can dance(he's still no Usher).

I think they offered up the some of the best, there were a couple I could've done without; the Underwood and whoever the other band was at the same time and the Chili Peppers. I love the Chili Peppers albums, but they stink live and that definitely was a stinky performance.

I enjoyed it, I enjoyed the honoring of past greats, I enjoyed almost every act, and even though I like the Dixie Chicks, I don't think they were deserving of every award they got and I think their political stance and songs influenced some of the voters. Then again, they had Rick Rubins on their side who also produced the Chili Peppers CD.

Didn't watch them. Haven't watched them in years because they are crap. The awards go to whoever the music industry insiders want to grease in any particular year. Read up on the history of the Grammys and the voting methods. Round about the early 1980s, the whole process changed - the voting is dominated by the companies that shove this dreck down our throats, not the artists. So after that point, they stopped having meaning. Originally, they were voted on by artists and creators only.

Offer the best in music? You must be joking. The Dixie Chicks winning song of the year and album of the year was a forgone conclusion. The whole liberal music industry was going to vote for them no matter what, just to stick their finger in the eye of George W. Bush, and in the eye of country music fans(FYI, I did not vote for him, nor am I a country music fan). I've heard the album. I've heard the song. They are pretty good, but record of the year? Give me a break.

Nope. The music industry just sold itself out again, once again supplanting honest voting based on quality with voting for political posturing. Just another reason not to bother with these idiots.

After All the Crap the Chicks and their fans went thru, this is 110% Vindication for all of us!!! When the Bandwagon fans, Nashville, and the Industry turned their backs on them and us, The Real True Fans. The Real True Fans kept on Supporting them!!! Anybody who is a Real True Fan of theirs is Smiling from Ear to Ear. This makes My Year!!! I went to their Concert in November in Phoenix, it was smaller in scale compared to their last tour when they were Huge, but it was Great to see The Real True Fans come together and support the Chicks!!! So Natalie has every right to do what she did at the Grammys, She could have been Nastier, but it was Great that She did it the way She did it by saying, "Well, to quote the great 'Simpsons' — 'Heh-Heh.' So "Heh Heh" to all those people who turned their backs on the Chicks!!!

I give it a 3. I like all types of music, country, some rap, the music which I prefer over much of the lyrics, everything. I am sorry I missed Christina Aguilera. Hers was the only performance I was looking forward to seeing.

Carrie Underwood.

Carrie Underwood.

Carrie Underwood.

This girl sings like she's been at it for years.

Mary J Blige is completely overrated. You listen to someone like Beyonce or Christina sing whoa re both amazing artists with natural talent, and along comes Mary, off key and straining like she hit her pipe before she stepped out to grace us with her attempt at singing live. I'm tired of the "hard life, strife, don't runaway, I've seen it all, I was poor, I was on crack" crap...

Carrie Underwood. Ah, such fresh air :)
