I have decided to file for a divorce after having been seperated for 3 years. I have found some inexpensive ways to do it over the net without having to have a lawyer. It would be a simple uncontested divorce without any custody or property issues. Has anyone reading this ever done this type of divorce? If so, could you please tell me about it. Are they legal, hard to file, do they have hidden costs? Any info that you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

BE CAREFUL over the net even if it is just for the use of the forms , Different States like to use different terminology on their documents, a lot of times I have heard of cases being stricken off the court docket because the Internet forms did not meet their requirements ...a lot of people have wasted money ,and time doing this ..If it is a mutual agreement type divorce (un contested) you can have it done fairly cheap versus an all out divorce battle, the more the parties involved argue ,the more expensive it is ..Probably best to speak with a lawyer first there maybe some kind of legal aid to help with the costs as well , any lawyer can inform you of services such as these....
