My ex lived in Oregon state, but now lives in England and I have no address or phone number to contact her or my son. It's been close to a year since they moved.

You can bet the child support agency in OR has their address and they are forwarding the checks to England. Depending on your situation, they may or may not give it to you. Have you called the CSA and asked for it? If it is their policy not to disclose any addresses, you may ask them to forward a letter to your son. However, you may NOT quit paying just because you don't know their location.

In general in Oregon when a child support agreement is drawn up, there is also a parenting plan that accompanies it. If it is a standard one, then it would indicate that you should have been notified when the other parent moved 'more than 60 miles further distant' from you. If this was not done, you may have grounds to file for custody of the child.

In any case, you are responsible for the child support payments until the child reaches legal age. If there is no legal reason for her address to be protected from you, you should be able to request her address from the court where your child support case is held.

If the court is unable to find her to receive the payments, then you may have to place the funds into an account for the child, but I'd speak to an attorney about it if noone knows where she and the child are.
