So do women more sensitive to smells than men? To me it seems they are but I wanted to get some input on this. For example, just this night that I'm typing this my brother farted multiple times in the car and he and I didn't smell anything while my mom reacted big time... don't know if my dad smelled it.

This is probably in the wrong catagory, I didn't know which one to put it in.

Yes, I believe women are more sensitive to smells. At least I know I am. It is even more pronounced when you are pregnant!

My first pregnancy I couldn't stand the smell of trees, fields or anything green. Also barbecue.

My second pregnancy it was soap! I could even smell "unscented" soap. And shampoo! They don't even make unscented shampoo and conditioner. It was awful!

I tend to agree with you on this. I smell EVERYTHING and if it is the slightest bit foul, I am usually the first one to notice (and no, that doesn't make it a case of "whoever smelt it dealt it"). Guys either don't notice as readily, or they just don't care...after all, they are supplying the majority of it...jk

It is a known fact that women have a heightened sense of smell.

I think it's quite obvious women are more sensitive to smell, they notice alot more than we do.

I think it depends on the person, for example I may be more sensitive to farts, but my hubby is more sensitive to vomit.
