I had a scary dream and I was hoping for some enlightenment....

I was walking through a long grassy paddock with my sister we stumbled across a dead bloody body (female), there was a two storey house nearby and we had the keys as we got to the door I was looking for the right key - it wasn't there... I looked under the house to see a small toddler girl sitting in a chair in the dark and mud, I looked further there was a, living, woman with blond hair and two men, one looked to be a husband or father - I didn't recognise them ...

then I woke up, feeling rather shaken - any thoughts?

To analyse a dream for yourself you need to see each person in the dream as a part of your personality, each person representing a differing aspect of you.
Buildings are generally symbols of your body or whole self.
Keys are just that, keys to an asnwer.

so in your dream you and your sister part of yourself are walking through a grassy paddock and find a dead part of your female self, the fact the bdy is bloody may indicate something to do with your reproductive self, ie menstruation

the fact you were in a long grassy paddock indicates you were out in the open. So you were out in the open when you discovered a part of yourself that may represent reproduction but that part of you is dead...

You see a two storey house, If the house represents your whole self then you see your self as being two levels, but although youy have a lot of keys you don't have the right one...

Beneath the house is a girl child all alone in the dark and mud. so beneath your whole self is a little girl all alone... beyond yourself is a blonde woman with two men....

so beyond yourself you see another part of your female self that is accompanied by two men one of which is a husband or father..

I would ask you what does this all mean to you....

are you approaching a stage of life where you feel being the attractive woman is a bit beyond you? Do you feel your possibility to have children is or has changed recently? Can you rescue the child beneath yourself... bring her into your house? And why does the masculine side of yourself feel that blonde women are more attractive? Why do you describe the blonde woman as 'living'

So what is going on inside you right now?

Hi, just my interpretation.
You know there are complex parts of you (2 storey bldg) and you think you know what there is to know about yourself (have the key) however you have recently had a situation arise (dead woman) where you were shocked by your feelings or your actions. You couldn't believe it or understand it (no key).

You said, felt or did something that embarrased you (child in mud and dark) and yet you felt intuitively that it was still ok, that you shouldn't be devastated (sister). The situation would be fine in the end, you would be helped to find understanding or an answer (woman and the men).

This "thing" that upset you is an emotional or feeling issue hence the reason it confounded you and why there are lots of females in the dream.

There's Freudian Dream analysis and Jungian dream analysis...I prefer Jungian...

First there needs to be what was going on before that night...something on television...some problem you've been grappling with...dreams can try to elevate problems you're not aware of and often providing solutions...

Jung would say the woman is your Shadow...the feminine essense of a man is called Anima...the masculine side of a woman is called the Animus...

in a man, the Anima would attract him to destructive relationships with women...a female's Animus might be a symbol of someone who's dead/numb without any hope of changing (a permanent dead/numb condition) and can't find the answer (key)

The child under the house begs the question - - why were you looking under a house..."under" might be significant, because it can be a symbol of descent...in personal growth, one step forward but two steps backward...

To Jung the child might represent the "integration" part of integration/differentiation...perhaps a tomboy who likes to play in the mud but no one gave her permission to play out that part of herself...

The blonde woman represents whatever-it-means to you as, say, someone who would be cast in a role like you imagine in an advertisement on television...

Jung used a lot of archetypes...a father might represent a Wise Solomon or Doctor/Healer...why haven't either of these men tried to get her out from under the house? They don't seem very nurturing or supportive...neither of them tried to get the child out from under the house either...

Without your responses to whatever-it-is that these symbols represent to you, I can't go much farther...

As for myself, if I had that kind of dream, I would do whatever personal growth was necessary to get me past a numb/dead part of my self...I would be cautious about men who aren't nurturing and supportive - - in a spouse...something about me that attracts non-nurturing men, say from a father...or from a spouse's father or what kind of parent a spouse would be...

I've learned that a childlike approach to fun, in this case represented by a child playing in the mud, is requisite for the kind of childish play that engenders a satisfying sexual marriage...

ok, it seems you feel really close to your sister and maybe you're afraid of losing her. and then the house part is a little hard... the problem is what you did during the day affects your dreams, but sometimes they have meaning. the locked house could mean that there's somewhere you wanna go with her, but something's stopping you? i rly have no idea, hehe. just thoughts

Often nightmares are caused by stress, traumatic experiences, emotional difficulties, drugs or medication, or illness. However, some people have frequent nightmares that seem unrelated to their waking lives. Recent studies suggest that these people tend to be more open, sensitive, trusting, and emotional than average

Dreams are simply random electrical impulses that generate in your brain stem. The "movie" that you see when you dream is your brain's attempt to make sense of this activity, often attaching memories, fantasies, or fears to the neural impulses.
