It's hard when you live far away from each other. Busy lives get in the way of keeping in touch, it doesn't mean she isn't missing you or thinking about you.

If this friendship is really important to you and you don't want to let it go, you might have to accept that it is evolving into a different form. You might also have to be the anchorperson in the relationship and be the one that keeps in touch. Some people are just not good at communicating when it isn't face to face.

This may hurt but she's not worth it. If she was a good friend (and thats not even using bestfriend), she would have contacted you a long time ago. If she said that you are her bestfriend, ask yourself;

a) Why didn't she call me? (what kind of friend calls you her best friend and yet she can't even just drop a line and email you(which of course does not take her more than a minute))

b) Why did she give her number in Washington yet she can't even pick it up when I call? (well if she's not at home then of course the answering machine will let her know that you called yet she can't even give you a simple phone call just to say hi)

May be you should forget her and look around you. Who knows? You might find a best friend in your neighbourhood or somewhere in Oregon who will be calling you every now and then; the one who will return your call if you ever call her/him.

Rachels are bad, trust me. I had a friend named Rachel, like yours. No! we were not best friends, but I always did the work. I ended the friendship. I doubt she has a clue, because I never told her it was over. I hope she realizes it by now, and regrets being so careless.

When friends live in different states it is very hard to keep it going! I would just call her once a week and try your best to keep in contact! But if she doesn't want to stay friends then she must not of been good enough for you!

First you shouldn't start a fight I have a friend too that lives far away from me and I'm like too busy answering her calls and all that stuff... Maybe she's busy with something... Try to e-mail her of communicate with her in any way and ask her what's going on...

You should be really honest with her. Let her know that you need her help to get yalls friendship back on track. If she is not willing, that just shows how she feels about yalls relationship. Good luck.
