There's this girl at work that I believe wants to go out with me. I can see it in her actions. She makes any excuse to stand by me or rub against me. She's always staring. She knows I'm gay. I recently heard that she was curious about getting with another girl. But she's too young.IShe's only 17,and I'm 22! don't say anything t her at all because I want to avoid her asking me out and me hurting her feelings, esp. since we work together. Lately she's been talking to me more and more, and I think she may ask me soon, how can I let her down easy?

First of all people, the age of consent for sex in the United States is 16 so statutory rape isn't even an issue. If she does ask you out simply decline politely. You could say that it would be uncomfortable to date someone you work with. But is it really so difficult to tell her that you feel uncomfortable dating someone so young? Even though the age gap is only a few years, you are at vastly different places in your life (I'm assuming she is still in high school and you are about the age of a college graduate - even if you didn't or aren't going to college). She can't even get into an 18 and over club while you can go to 21+ club.
Is this the only reason you are avoiding her - because she "might" ask you out? Or do you geniunely not like her as a person? If it's the latter, then do your best to continue to avoid her. If it's the former then it might be easier on you to give her the opportunity to ask you out, let her down easy and get on with your life.

Well thats really not a big age difference... (p.s. to the people who said it would be rape, the age of consent is lower than 18 now) but if you're not into her just politely tell her she is making you uncomfortable and after work (when no customers or employees are around) tell her you know what she is trying to do and that you feel she is too young for you or that you just arn't into her that way.

EASY. Avoid her question BEFORE she can ask it!
Just sit her down for coffee or something and start talking away. Then, start complaining about "people who get on your nerves, etc." Then get on the topic "how you could never date anyone younger than you." Or that "you ONLY date older women." In other words, make it plain that she stands no chance because of her age.
Good luck.

Tell her that the workplace is not the forum to behave the way she is behaving. Tell her to chill out. Tell her you're flattered, but hands off. Tell her she doesn't want to make you mad but she is borderlining on making you mad. Tell her you like her as a coworker and maybe in a few years as a friend, Maybe, but for now she is invading your personal space and you're not looking to hook up with anyone. Tell her you're very flattered by her attention and enthusiam but you have work to do and work comes first. I hope this helps.

At 22 I would think you are mature enough to tell her that you are not interested in her bec of the age difference. If she ask you out, simply tell her that you are not interested bec of the age difference. You don't really want Big Marg as your roommate in jail do you? Maybe she is showing interest bec she doesn't know any other lesbians at this time.

Just tell her that she's out of the age range that you would have a relationship with. Hopefully she's mature enough to take any type of rejection.

Start talking about how loyal and in love you are to someone else. She will get the idea that it isnot cool to hit on you.

getting involved with someone from work is never a good idea because if it doesn't work out, she could get you in trouble, make you look bad, or get you fired. so if she does ask you out or make further advances, you could tell her you don't date people from work.

If you're gay, remind her so. Some young girls are bent on trying to turn a gay man straight. What she is doing is sexual harassment and if she doesn't stop, I'd report her. Why should you be uncomfortable at work?
