I would love it if Fergie signed Hargreaves. Although Man Utd isn't my preferred club (as in my favorite), I'm a huge Hargreaves fan and I would love to see him in the Premiership. Torres as well would be a great signing. Both are excellent players in their preferred positions. What you really just have to take into account though is how well they would adjust to the English game.

If we win the Premiership, Fergie well have a bigger transfer chest. He is probably about up 10 million because of the Mikel, Ruud and Carrick deals.
We well probably sign Torres and possible Bale, but Bale well be on loan for at least a year at Southampton.
I think its either Hargreaves OR Torres, not both though.
ADD-ON, to Coys:
First, Rooney can't act as a lone striker. He plays well in the hole, is without a doubt a player that needs to play off a main striker to be successful.
Rooney isn't a striker, his game is more then that. Ole is going to retire soon, Larsson is going back to Sweden and unfortunitely, Rossi looks to small to play in the Premiership. We need a striker as much as we need a CM right now.
Also, Bale rejected Tottenham when he had the chance to move. He wants to go to United.
Finally, Hargreaves isn't Carrick and Carrick isn't Hargreaves. Neither are better versions of each other, such a comment is useless. Carrick is a better ball winner then people give him credit for, but Hargreaves is a better ball winner in general, and more tireless.
That being said, Hargreaves only wishes he had the passing ability of Carrick. They both have solid positional play, and I think they would work well together. Carrick was bought so that SAF could mold him into a replacement for Scholes.
Hargreaves is being persuade by SAF as a replacement for Keane.

I think you'll get Haregraves but not Villa. Saha's filled in fine in the second striker role and Larsson is playing well too. Rooney can also function as a lone striker, so I don't think that's anything to worry about. Haregraves would be great for them; he's a better version of Carrick pretty much, maybe except for his service. Bale I think will go to Spurs, who really need a left back. He will probably get regular first team footie with them, so I think that's where he'll want to go.

NO FU______ way and that i'm a Liverpool fan.i concept he might of long previous for decrease than 50 million yet his settlement reported that if a team is provided in with a bid of fifty million or greater then LFC would desire to touch his agent. He needed a pair of greenbacks for his piggy economic employer and gets 10% for signing on the dotted line so Torres (in simple terms like maximum gamers) at the instant are not involved in a team they play they only elect to fill their very enormous wallet. In those stupid days of massive gamers Torres is in all probability worth (whilst greater healthful)30 - 35 million

Well, as far as Fernando Torres, I don't think a deal will go through.
Athletico Madrid really wants him to stay and I think Real Madrid would try and snatch him up as soon as they had the chance. Also, with the Spanish style that Torres plays, I don't think he would be a great fit in the English Premiership.
As things stand, I do believe SAF will sign Hagreaves though.

Hargreaves is a good bet. SAF would want to have a succesor for Scholes when he finally decided to retire. I like Torres but i dont think he is suitable for the EPL and he most likely wolud join Real or Barca. Bale has lots of potential, but if Man Utd do buy him they should loan him out first. Man Utd already got two world class left backs in Evra and Heinze.
I prefer Man Utd buy English player. their easier to handle and i want my club to stay English. i dont want them turning into some foreign legion like Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
