For a mix of Caribbean food of all types, try the "Red Onion" with several locations in Houston. For good Bar-B-Q, Conroe has some great little places on Hwy. 105 heading out to Cut-N-Shoot and beyond. Also try Pappas Bar-B-Q in Houston with many locations.

You are going to have to drive out of Conroe to find them. Now I would not consider myself an expert on Jamaican or Puerto Rican but I do know of some places. Being a Texan I do know a thing or two about Texas Style Barbecue.

Jamaican:
I have enjoy the Reggae Hut. It is located just east of the Medical Center.
Reggae Hut
4814 Almeda Rd
Houston, TX 77004

Puerto Rican:
There is a new restaurant in town, it has be open for less than a year. I have been there once and enjoyed the chuletas de puerco. Located near the Heights.
Isla Coqui Puerto Rican Restaurant and Bar
1801 Durham Dr at I-10
Houston, TX 77007

Barbecue:
The best BBQ is Goode Co.. They slow smoke the meat until it is fork tender. The red sauce is a bit spicy. They have 2 locations:

I'm sure you can find barbecue in Conroe, or at least in the Woodlands at the outside (or maybe Montgomery). But Jamaican or Puerto Rican you'll have to drive the 40-50 miles into Houston.

No,that's not a extraordinary mixture. instead, that's an exciting mixture; via fact it makes you...2 hundred% Caribbean! to boot, i've got faith that there are some similarities between Jamaicans and Puerto Ricans.
