One of them said, that through out the Grammys, everyone was expressing their freedom of speech. Did she mean their fans are expressing their freedom of speech, because all of the grammys they were nominated for and won. -OR did she mean that Music Artist through out the show were expressing of their freedom of speech. Such as the constant talk and mention of Rick Ruben. Who is known as great, grammy worthy music producer, ect. who has yet to win one.....

I think she meant that people like the lyrics to their song, "Not Ready To Make Nice" and have expressed their freedom of speech by purchasing the album. Natalie Mane was under a lot of political pressure to apologize in public to Bush after she made a statement on a concert stage. The song tells the world that she has freedom of speech and does not have to apologize for something that she (Nor I) feel was wrong.

Go Chicks!!

Dixie Chicks did NOT deserve a single Emmy, and this once again demonstrates why the Emmy awards have lost their value.

While other better artists were past up.....the far left used this moment to voice their opinion at the expense of others...further demonstrating their disrespectful nature.

Just looking at the stunned audience said it all....and the chicks new perfectly well that they did not deserve the award.

In the end they will get what they deserve....when they look at their award for years to come....they will have that ill feeling in the pit of their stomachs knowing that that award was NOT for their music but for their rediculous and simple political beliefs...at the expense of better artists.

I think she meant that the Academy's voting members were exercising their freedom of speech by voting to give them so many (undeserved) Grammys because of their political views. Rick Rubin did win a Grammy.

The Dixie Chicks exercised their freedom of speech and criticized the President at concert. Made a bunch of people mad and they were booed and alot of people walked out. Their record sales went through the basement and now they whine about their freedom of speech. In fact, they do have freedom of speech and their former customers have their freedoms as well.
The Dixie Chicks did NOT deserve a Grammy, it was an anti-Bush gimme, just like Michael Moore's movie awards and Al Gore's Oscar.
