Really?? Who cares about the Dixie Chicks and how in the hell can they beat Mary J Blige or Red Hot Chily Peppers for album fo the year?

I'm with you big time! The Red Hot Chili Peppers are arguably the biggest band in the world and Stadium is their best album! I can't name a single song off the Dixie Chicks' album except the lead single!

I actual don't have any protests even as it includes Britney Spears and Chris Brown triumphing Grammys. What i'm so livid about is that Beyonce has more beneficial Grammys than Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey blended. and that annoying unmarried females music gained music of the twelve months somewhat of Use someone through Kings of Leon.

Nope, After All the Crap the Chicks and their fans went thru, this is 110% Vindication for all of us!!! When the Bandwagon fans, Nashville, and the Industry turned their backs on them and us, The Real True Fans. The Real True Fans kept on Supporting them!!! Anybody who is a Real True Fan of theirs is Smiling from Ear to Ear. This makes My Year!!! I went to their Concert in November in Phoenix, it was smaller in scale compared to their last tour when they were Huge, but it was Great to see The Real True Fans come together and support the Chicks!!! So Natalie has every right to do what she did at the Grammys, She could have been Nastier, but it was Great that She did it the way She did it by saying, "Well, to quote the great 'Simpsons' — 'Heh-Heh.' So "Heh Heh" to all those people who turned their backs on the Chicks!!!

At times it seems that way...but it's not a popularity contest and it's not based on airplay. I'm indifferent about every artist nominated for record and album of the year this year...
When you're choice doesn't win, of course you're going to think it's rigged. But consider that the voting members who put your favorite in the pile to choose from also ultimately choose the winner (round 1 noms and round 2 winner). So, if it's rigged, your favorite artist got their on the same shady bus.

You may have a point...the Dixie wins were a Hollywood backlash against George W and the war, as the Chicks had spoken against it. It was the record industry's way of thumbing their nose at Bush.

It's not that it's rigged...it's subjective. It's not about air time or album sales. There are other award shows for that. This is about the preferences of the Grammy voters. MJB is not that good. That she won anything is more proof that it's rigged than anything they gave to the Dixie Chicks.

although,
i believe it's all just a popularity contest.
who has the better looks & who has the most money & who is more "appropriate" for society.
its all a joke, really. it's not based on talent. just on social status.

i am not a fan of the dixie chicks nor do i listen to their music. but i am very proud of mary j. blidge. she did an awesome job singing!! GO MARY!! im just glad that beyone wasn't the center of attention. thank GOD!!
