They say, they consider 1st generation college students. So if my parents went to college in India but havent been to or attended an university or a college here... do i still qualify for that?

Actually I think that would count, because I am in the same situation and my counselor said that they wouldnt count my mom getting a degree in my native country.

I'm sorry but you do not qualify. 1st generation refers to the first person (generation) in the family to recieve a college degree.
