In your situation, caring about the dignity of the patient. Caring about their feelings and worries enough to do more than just clean, feed and medicate them. Caring professionally means assuring your patients the best stay possible, and some encouragement for those needing it. It is difficult to learn this. You will either have it or not. If you have empathy for them, you will have to be careful not to take it home with you. Good Luck and God speed!
