Why are some people more creative than others? Is it all genetic? Can creativity be taught? Can it be cultivated? I know there are lots of techniques to stimulate lateral thinking (e.g. E. De Bono) but is this true creativity?

it depends on how much of an imagination the person has. if you had to use your mind to come up with ways to entertain yourself at a younger age, you will have developed thought bridges that enable a wider thought pattern for coming up with more ways of going about getting solutions to problems, or going about the same tast in a different way

Creativity comes from a person's vision of imagination. People can decide to be creative or it can be genetic or it can be both. If a person has enough attention from a teacher figure, yes, they can be taught how to be creative but only if the person wants to be creative. In order for a person to be cultivated into being creative, he/she must promote the growth or development of the art. However, I believe that true creativity is within a person's genes but it is up to that person to find out what that creativity is and it'll be what it's meant to be.
For me, my creativity is in my genes but I found what my gift was. My father was an artist who loved to draw but I found out that my gift was poetry.

no count if we like it or no longer, while creativity comes into communicate, there must be God in it. people are created via the Trinity who has created the Universe and we've existence via His breath, so we've a supernatural hidden powers which could be unveiled while God decides to unveil it. If we are left without finished potential, think of what the worldwide will appear as if yet at each and every appropriate time, we've a tendency to get that potential or potential we've inherited from our writer to create our own variations of things for our desires of besides the fact that purpose, however the top sport is that creativity is what we've inherited from the the Lord provided that we are His toddlers via being created via Him and later being offered via His Holy Blood on the circulate. thank you
