When the power goes out at night...?

do you make the best of it? What silly things do you do?

I walk in to doors, walls, windows, whatever. I fall over furniture and finally light candles and let the wax melt down all over the place. The I peel the wax and eat it cause by now I'm hungry.

One time, we took a flashlight and just opened the curtains a wee bit and shined it in the neighbor's windows. Every time they got up to look where it was coming from, we'd turn out the light and wait until they settled back to whatever they were doing. Then start again.

Amused us for over an hour.

If I'm still up, I'm usually pissed about it. My internet is down and I can't watch TV. I can't take a shower or cook, since everything is electric.

I do have a laptop, without internet, and an iPod video. I can make the most of the night and have plenty of time pleasuring myself.

First, I usually look for the candles and matches, then we sit around the candles playing cards, or a board game, or telling ghost stories if its too dark for the games. Then its off to bed and hope the lights are back on by morning.

Get out the iron pans and figure out a way to put them over the fire (in the fireplace) to cook food. That's where creativity kicks in.

go to bed and cuddle with my hubby. and we talk about everything under the sun. and it all ends up in making love and falling asleep holding each other. (it's wow. i wish power would go out more often)
