people act tough because they are not tough they feel that one day they will have to fight and they will lose they think that if they act like they are tough then they will become tough and that no one will want to fight them. they join gangs for the same reason and you are right they are losers

Probably for the same reasons anyone joins any group or organization....to be accepted. Sure it is a bad thing to do, but if you look at their options if any, there isn't much for them to do or nice clubs that they can join because most of them are poor and cannot afford it. So, to look macho and feel tough, they join the ultimate wrong club which is a gang to boost their self esteem that has been shattered by poverty. Most poor people are not like that. Just a small percentage.
NEVER get your education about someone from the T.V. Ratings sell, and if they have to exaggerate or lie to boost ratings, they will.
Its just a small percentage that join gangs.
Instead of calling the kids losers, focus on what programs you can vote for so they can have a community center or something positive to go to.

I think most have either a very low self esteem or none at all and they have a need to fit in some where. It makes then feel stronger by being in a group of people who are the same as them.
In order for them to feel tough/stronger or superior to others they join gangs. It's like an abuser,in order for them to feel strong (tough) they bully and push others around, makes them feel bigger and better about them self.

i agree lol...its sumthing that faded the WHOLE real meaning of what a gang was.. no its nuttin but killing & iillgeal actions.
which in reality it wasnt created that way
