The little one needs to not speak, ever again. She was piggish when she ha-ha'ed all the people that voted fro them and those who lost to them. Their career is back in the toilet.

These girls clawed their way against adversity when they could have skulked away into obscurity. Actually, if you listen to the lyrics, the song IS NOT about the President, but the death threats and violent backlash from the public over a flippant, ill-timed comment that the media exploited to the fullest.

It was a message about coping with the anger on the journey to forgiveness. Other musicians supported them because they understand the role the media plays in these matters.

And the underdogs won. Bravo!

The only downside is that The Red Hot Chili Peppers didn't win.

The reason you never hear Dixie Chics anymore is because they were blacklisted from Country stations, and people stopped buying thier CD's after they took and Anti-Bush, andti war stance, making comments at thier concerts. They kept making matters worse and worse, until nobody really respected them anymore. It's a free country, and you are free to speak, but you must face the consequences. Many Country music fans are pro military, and are offended when people insult the military, and don't support our troops. Personally I never really cared what thier opinion was, but I thought it was pretty stupid the context in which they said things, and how insensitive they were to thier fans. I think when you become a famous musician you need to respect your fans. Sonny and Cher were pressured to speak out against the war in the '60's, but they understood that they were entertainers, not politicians. Some singers like Bob Dylan naturally fit into the anti-war category, so it was appropriate to sing 'Blowin in the Wind' and things of that nature, which by the way were nice songs, and had a positive feel. The rhetoric of the left these days is not nice, and is pessimistic and negative sometimes which conservatives really are repulsed by.

It's funny how the people who repeat all the conservative rhetoric they hear on Fox News like to say the Dixie Chicks don't support our troops and are bad-mouthing the United States, but it's not true. They're bad-mouthing an incompetent President. And rightfully so.

After All the Crap the Chicks and their fans went thru, this is 110% Vindication for all of us!!! When the Bandwagon fans, Nashville, and the Industry turned their backs on them and us, The Real True Fans. The Real True Fans kept on Supporting them!!! Anybody who is a Real True Fan of theirs is Smiling from Ear to Ear. This makes My Year!!! I went to their Concert in November in Phoenix, it was smaller in scale compared to their last tour when they were Huge, but it was Great to see The Real True Fans come together and support the Chicks!!! So Natalie has every right to do what she did at the Grammys, She could have been Nastier, but it was Great that She did it the way She did it by saying, "Well, to quote the great 'Simpsons' — 'Heh-Heh.' So "Heh Heh" to all those people who turned their backs on the Chicks!!!

There album sales in 06 weren't as good as their previous records but this was by far their best one. The reason for the drop in sales is due to redneck conservatives whom can't handle freedom of speech and certaintly wouldn't stand of a woman using those rights.

I'm very happy for their win, they deserved every single grammy they got.

I think it was a political thing also. I personally never really did like the Dixie Chicks and after her making comments about the President and our country, I really don't like them. Especially that little blond b--ch.

They are three women who like to bad mouth the United States, especially when on foreign soil. Their combined intelligence IQs wouldn't add up to a pinch of you-know-what.

It's funny how they think that their winning a grammy here or there is a confirmation that a majority of Americans support their anti-American comments made on foreign soil.

They can fly a kite off a cliff as far as I am concerned.

Its all in the political correctness of the liberal entertainment industry, however in their concerts they only draw about half the crowds that they used to because much of the country music audience is conservative.
