I hate country but even if I liked it what's the appeal wit the Dixie Chicks?

Has anyone else noticed that all the press they get is about their political outspokenness, and not their artistry? Seems to me if there were much musical substance to their work, we'd hear about it.
Sure, they have freedom of speech. But these days, music is a commodity. If I went into a bakery or restaurant and the clerk or waiter tried to foist his/her views on me, I'd get my food elsewhere. Same applies to this group: I'll get my music elsewhere. And Natalie, "heh-heh" is a Beavis and Butthead-ism. The Simpsons are better known for "Doh!" Not that someone with a dozen Grammys should be expected to know that...doh!
For the record, my notion of formal dining involves formal dress, AKA "dinner jacket," AKA a "tuxedo." I've never owned or waved a Confederate battle flag, and thanks to good dentistry, have 28 teeth. I resent jaygualtieri's notion (immediately below) that disenchantment with the Dixie Chicks somehow makes me a redneck, and will happily match wits any day with snivelers who don't know how to use apostrophes.

I purely suggested the Dixie Chicks on 60 minutes. None of them regarded fat. human beings purely won't be able to take care of the Dixie Chicks because they have the braveness to talk their ideas and do not supply in to the stress to lower back down and pass with the norm.

I hate today's country music, too. And I never did like the Dixie Chicks even before all the controversy.

The Dixie Chicks are bad news. I love country music.......but I never liked their music. It's more like soft rock or something else. Please don't put them in the same category as Loretta Lynn or the group Alabama. Did you see how Natalie did when they won one of the awards. Instead of saying how grateful they were for another chance at music and thankful they were to win.......she just did the hahahaha thing. What a B****! Did you notice they weren't nominated for anything at the CMA's .......because country music lovers don't like them. They won at the Grammy's because those people are stupid. That's the people that say rap is music. They have no taste.......that's why the Dixie Chicks won.

Chill out, im not a big fan of the dixie chicks either but alot of people are their music appeals to people who like country or just like them, people might not like or appreciate your taste in music so try to be more open and you might be surprised = ]

The Dixie Chicks are hated by people whose idea of formal dining out means pulling around to the second window please i.e. Bush-voting, toothless Confederate-flag waving white trash, so who the hell cares what the Dixie Chick's detractors think?

They stood by what they believed in even when the majority of the country practically exiled them. APPARENTLY after a few more years of Bush, most of the country now gets it.
