It means that I can raise my family with many freedoms that other countries do not have.
My family has served in all the wars since the American Revolution, my father served in both Korea and Vietnam each and everyone of them did it because they loved this country.
They served so we could have the right to burn a flag if we wanted.
I fly the flag with pride everyday not just a few holidays.

Use to stand for:
freedom
veterans sacrifice
morality
most prosperous country
most generous country
most Godly country
Respected christians
businesses cared about there customers and workers
kids could play,go to the store,etc.(parents didn't usually need to worry).
Schools weren't locked down because of rampant shootings.
government didn't run the peoples lifes (increasingly now).
Now?
How many Americans think of veterans day,4th of July,memorial day,presidents day as days off from work to drink and bbq.
How many tatered and faded flags fly 24/7.
Many want flag burning to be a constitutional right like abortion.
USA was never perfect but it was and is the greatest country ever.(but for how long)
Ask the X,Y generations.

So many things. Disunity. Unity. Hatred. Diversity. Respect. Idolatry. Oppression. Its meaning has changed with time.
