So, here I am sitting on my couch this evening with laptop in-hand watching the Grammy's (and being continually reminded that I can't sing worth beans ...). I'm not sure what happened, but following their recent performance, did I just become a fan of The Dixie Chicks????

I kinda hope so, and hope you had a chance to listen to the lyrics, and realize that the song IS NOT about the President, but the death threats and violent backlash from the public over a flippant, ill-timed comment that the media exploited to the fullest.

It was a message and other musicians supported them because they understand the role the media plays in these matters.

And the underdogs won. Bravo!

Probably. In the grand scheme of things, they did a nice job performing Not Ready to Make Nice. They also swept all the major awards -- and picked up five Grammys overall, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year -- which meant that the best song on the album was played virtually non-stop, particularly during the final hour of the broadcast.

After All the Crap the Chicks and their fans went thru, this is 110% Vindication for all of us!!! When the Bandwagon fans, Nashville, and the Industry turned their backs on them and us, The Real True Fans. The Real True Fans kept on Supporting them!!! Anybody who is a Real True Fan of theirs is Smiling from Ear to Ear. This makes My Year!!! I went to their Concert in November in Phoenix, it was smaller in scale compared to their last tour when they were Huge, but it was Great to see The Real True Fans come together and support the Chicks!!! So Natalie has every right to do what she did at the Grammys, She could have been Nastier, but it was Great that She did it the way She did it by saying, "Well, to quote the great 'Simpsons' — 'Heh-Heh.' So "Heh Heh" to all those people who turned their backs on the Chicks!!!

I kept falling asleep during the awards and waking up in between. I think I missed the Dixie Chicks. I think you a fan because everybody likes the underdog. When Natalie quoted the Simpsons it was funny and made you think she's not a bad person after all.

I guess you can't help but it....since they swept all the major awards tonight. I'm glad I didn't waste 3:30 of my night just to watch a sweep of the major awards. As always, the Grammys have failed me!
