i have had my macbook for about 2 weeks now. I love it. its very fast. 1.83gHz core 2 duo. However, i am very concerned with it. My fan is always on. It does not make too much noise, other then a regular fan's noise. Nothing too loud, but i do feel it moving. I wanted to know if it is something normal that the macbook's fans are always on?? does anyone have the same problem?? should i go to the mac store, and let them check it??

Any help will be appreciate

Are you using it on your lap or carpet where something would be blocking the vents on the bottom of the computer?

If those vents cannot get sufficient airflow, then the fan will stay on.

desktops generate extremely some warmth, quite in portables the place each thing is right smack dab next to a minimum of one yet another. subsequently, the fan will kick in while the motherboard senses the temperature beginning to upward thrust. the belief is the comparable as an electric powered fan blowing air in the time of a automobile motor. that is going to kick on and turn off based on the enter from the digital modules and temperature sensors. the only element you're able to do is to maintain all followers, heatsinks and air flow ports sparkling of all airborne dirt and dirt and debris. If there are any further obdurate components that may not blow faraway from compressed air, use a q-tip and 70% or larger rubbing alcohol. have a stable one
