it just means that the hotel feels that they offer you more ammenities for the price they charge you. They might not be the cheapest but you will get more.

Hmmm .... that's a difficult subjective question. Value might mean considerations on the comparible:

-location
-star rating
-amenities
-restaurants
-free inclusions
-booking convenience
-room quality
-room type ( family , serviced apartment , room service )

.... and so on

It's a big question. But one thing is certain .... many of the best deals are via discount hotel websites ... not direct. Have look at a few sites and compare their offers:
