I have been off BC for 6.5 weeks and not had a period. About 3 weeks ago i hade some cramping and light brown spotting and on and off have had pregnancy symptoms. I have done a couple of tests and come back negative. Whats going on ?

It sounds like your body is just adjusting to coming off the birth control, so things maybe a little abnormal for awhile.

Your missing period could be a result of going off the pill. A change in hormone, not necessarily pregnancy. Your body may just need time to get used to the change.

Any physician will tell you it takes your body awhile to get the bc out of your system and your normal cylce to readjust. Also you should use alternative bc for at least 6 months before attempting to concieve in order to help ensure having a healthy conception and preganancy.

After going off the pill, sometimes it takes a while for your body to get back into gear. If it hasn't straightened out in about 3 months or so, talk to your doctor.

It can take months for your body to regulate itself after coming off the pill. It's used to the pill telling it what to do, and now it has to do it on it's own.

It can take upto a year for your cycle to regulate after bc.
