It's a combination of being prepared to listen to other people and have a good factual knowledge behind you to form a good opinion. I've always been in awe of older people, who have achieved this. I also think that it's important to want to develop. I know some people who are still the same than they were a few years back and find this very sad. But it's true that travelling (NO package holidays) or living in another country really change your personality and outlook on life.

One thing is for sure......travelling around the world and living in different places not only broadens ones horizons, but character and personality grow too. Meeting different people from around the globe will develop these traits too, especially if you are curious and want to learn more about them. Be adventurous and make it your target to meet and befriend as many different people from different cultures and backgrounds as you can. Talk and ask questions. Be inquisitive. Life will definitely be more interesting for you. At the same time, your character and personality will flourish!!!!!!!!

Don,t think you can "develop" this/these as this is "part" of who we are: we can "change" as in our approach ,as such to people etc -we are either "nice or not" ..if the latter then it has to be oneslelf that "changes" ..mmm a very broad "spectrum" to answer -i say just be you ..and if folk don,t like it ..that,s their "problem" ..so long as you/we are not evil ,nasty etc ..then the world would be a better place with "better" people ....i,m sure there are groups somewhere for "tips" on "how to win friends and influence people" ??!!
