Go to the store during weekday, it is less cloudy, the sale people will be more than happy to help you to mix and match some outfit, request some catalog from department store like Macy's, Northstrom, JCPenny, Khols', and whatever mall you think they will send out catalog, even on the Internet, when you click on a t-shirt for example, they will show you what they think you might also like, or for the complete look.
Tips: Some store are more expensive than the other, but you do not have to buy anything, you just need to know how to put the outfit together nicely and looking trendy.

There is a great new book out, published by style magazine. It is about $12.00. You can get it at Walmart. It shows you all the current style looks for business, casual, dressy, and resort. It is a great resource. Look for it, you won't be sorry. It even covers shoes and purses. It's in with the magazines.

I would recommend watching How Do I Look on the style network. If you wanna look for decnet clothes, bring a friend with you to help you pick out some great fashions.

Try looking at website for trendy store like Abercrombie and Fitch. Not that you have to buy the clothes from them, but it will give you some ideas. Try buying things from placng like Old Navy. On their website there are examples of whole outfits and their prices are affordable and they offer a variety of sizes.

Try any magazine website. Thought they are mainy for girls, most of them do have selections for guys also. You could also aska close girl friend to help you too. They always can help. Enjoy. And try to be yourself though.

umm. well you could shop at abercrombie and hollister + american. stay away from aeropostale ( clothes not that great).
