maybe your fans aren't working. the thermostat may be trying to seize. your water pump might be going out. your radiator might be low of water or might have a leak. i say take it to a shop if you have no one to look at it.

i own a repair shop, and i have see a dozen of those things with the same problem, blown head gaskets on them, that and bad intake gaskets, they all seem to do the same thing around the same time ,when it gets cold,i just got done putting an engine in one ,and they are getting hard to find, but you might want to have it checked ,it may just be a simple thermostat in it going bad ,or a clogged radiator, but like i said just about everyone i have seen blows a head gasket, good luck,i hope this help,s.

many things could cause that but try, first, your thermostat. check your owners manual for place & replacement. keep your belts in mind too. loose or wear causes overheating. your hoses might be ready for new ones. heater core can cause lots of problems; also radiator. check with a good mechanic. could be something small or could be a very expensive thing but have it checked out. everytime your engine overheats? you are endangering it's life.
