I was wondering how a woman who gives birth who still has a long time to serve find adoptive parents for her baby. That is if she dosent have family to take the baby.Would social service in that county just come and take the baby or does the mother have the ablity to choose adoptive parents just as with outher adoptions. Is this diffrent or regulated the same?

My cousin was in prison in california and they told her to either have someone come get the baby or they were putting the baby up for adoption. Im sure the laws are different in every state

Depending on the situation, CPS might just take the baby into custody for foster care until she is released. If a family member can keep it, that might be done also. Just depends on what she is up for, what she has done in the past, and what she wants to do now.
