I have heard that in the exspanded universe of Star Wars, Darth Maul gets brought back somehow and in the story gets killed by some guy, I think his name is Lors when he tries to harm baby Luke. What story is this called? And wouldn't it be even possible to bring him back from even that demise? I know when Boba Fett fell into the Sarlacc, if you go with the movies alone he is for all intents and porposes dead. But a lot of fans liked him so much, that I think canon was made so that he ended up escaping the Sarlacc. Couldn't they end up doing the same with Maul, and where he stays alive this time? I mean he was interesting, and a lot of people seem to like him. Or is he dead forever, with no hope of being brought back, even a hundred years from then. Cause I have a Fanfic I might want to write, and it is no fun writing something if a guy can't ever be brought back, even if he only lives a month.

I read what I thought was a fan-fiction online before, and it had Darth Maul tracking Obi Wan throughout the settings and planets of the prequels, always a step behind from actually fighting him, although coming close on Kamino. Essentially, he had pneumatic legs since he was cut in half.
Eventually, he caught up to Obi Wan on Tattoine shortly after Obi Wan delivered the infant Luke to Owen and Baroo Lars and ambushed him. First, Maul knocked out Owen and fought with Obi Wan, nearly striking him down after a usual epic light sabre duel. Just before the final blow, though, Owen regained consciousness and fired a blaster rifle shot straight through Maul's head. He wouldn't be able to come back from that one.
So, Owen Lars is the character you are looking for! I do not know the title of the story, unfortunately, but I hope I helped somewhat.

Darth Maul is brought back in the Star Wars expanded universe, but it is by some dark side followers that do not share the beliefs of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine.
This happens in "Star Wars Tales Volume 3," a graphic novel. Here's the gist of the story. Vader is tracking a lead on Luke, I think (I think this occurs between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back). Vader finds these dark side followers and they show him that they have brought Maul back from the dead. They want Maul and Vader to face each other. They think that Maul's hatred will allow him to beat Vader, and prove that Maul is the rightful heir to Palpatine, not Vader.
As the fight rages on, eventually Vader wins and kills Maul again. The dark side followers are then struck down by some lightning, and it turns out to be Palpatine. Palpatine knew all along about the resurrected Maul and the dark side followers, and sent Vader there under false pretenses to test him.

I don't know how they would have gotten him out of that place. Not only would he be in two pieces he would have just been a large stain on the bottom if even that.
